Schokolade macht doch glücklich: Grad eben als beim Metro beim Lindt-Regal stand ertönte Frank aus den Lautsprechern. zwar nur Something Stupid, aber pfeif auf die paar Kalorien. Ist halt so: Was im Leben Spass macht ist entweder verboten, unmoralisch oder es macht dick.

Ich maße mir wirklich nicht an, etwas vom Filmemachen zu verstehen, aber kann man nicht einfach eine Geschichte rund um eine prägnante Episode in Herrn Sinatra's Leben entwickeln? Muss es denn gleich die Zehn Gebote sein, das ein halbes Jahrhundert umfasst und mehrere Darsteller erfordert? Für mich klingt das dramaturgisch jedenfalls irgendwie zweifelhaft.
Lange Rede, kurzer Sinn: Sinatra's Leben bietet viel Stoff, da muss sich doch mit genug Kreativität etwas draus machen lassen.

I think you meant to post this in reply to my Scorcese link in another thread? But anyways I agree with you. I do not think there is a big hollywood star alive today who could possible play Frank accurately. A star of that magnitude could not embody Frank`s unique and big character in the right way, as their own huge character would be too domineering. This would make you think of the actor and not really of Sinatra. I personally think it should be an unknown actor who looks like him and who could get a hold of his mannerisms and character. With technology they can make young actors age quite well now but sometimes it looks rather fake and so they may have to get a few actors to cover his character as he ages, as he did transform in appearance. However it may make the film too long to cover his whole life as you mentioned and so they will probably focus on the height of his fame and career but this is only speculation.

Sophia: Dorothy, how did this start? cole porter? Dorothy: Gershwin. Sophia: Thank god I came in time.

Und tatsächlich steht in Wikipedia: "Despite the success of Frankie Goes to Hollywood at the time it was not about them as commonly thought but singer Frank Sinatra." Witzig, wenn man weiß, daß sich "Frankie Goes to Hollywood" ebenfalls nach Ol' Blue Eyes benannt haben.
